Our Story

 

Shades of White Events is a boutique wedding and event planning group located in Orange County, California. Our mission is to create amazing events for our diversified clientele - events that shine, inspire, and are quite simply, fabulous. We take a whimsical approach to the events we plan using a lot of surprising elements and unique accessories.

 

Each event is planned or coordinated by Ashlee Baskin and Kristin Ruck. Shades of White Events is built on the highest level of professionalism and service for our clientele. We are two fun-loving, stylish girls that never lack innovation, creativity, personalization, or energy for your event.

 

Shades of White Events is able to work with a variety of vendors and venues to bring your visions to life and ensure a stylish event. Our attention to detail, innovativeness, and joy in planning your event will ensure a memorable day for both you and your guests. We love working with new ideas and inspirations to take them to the next level.                                          Ashlee Baskin

Ashlee's educational background includes a Bachelor Degree of Art from the University of San Diego, where she studied Diversified Liberal Arts and History.

Ashlee has always fostered a love for event planning - from the smallest dinner party to her own wedding. She felt a desire to pursue an artistic career path that would utilize her organizational and creative talents. Her love of planning and coordination had only grown over the years until she finally met someone who shared her passion - Kristin - and together they created Shades of White Events.

With Ashlee's understanding of the Orange County event planning scene, vendor connections, and whimsical design ideas, you can be sure you'll end up with a fabulous event every time.


                                             Kristin Ruck         

Kristin's educational background includes a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Journalism and Mass Communications from California Baptist University.

Kristin has had over three years of experience in coordinating weddings and events through working as a wedding coordinator assistant.  In addition, Kristin planned and designed her own wedding, where she implemented her creative ideas and artistic flair.

With this experience, Kristin has an upper-hand in the wedding planning and coordinating business. She has first-hand knowledge and an energetic attitude necessary to coordinate diverse weddings and events for the detailed-orientated clients that come our way.
